Hugh Macklin

Chairman & Co-Founder

On February 16, 1987 Harold and Hugh Macklin founded Linmac Inc. The company has interests in agricultural and commercial properties in Cobourg and neighbouring Hamilton Township.

In 2021 Hugh stepped out of his role as President and became Chairman of Linmac.

Hugh is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University).

Drew Macklin

President

Drew has been a part of Linmac Inc since 2007. Drew Macklin was promoted from Vice-President to President after his Dad stepped down from that role in 2021, and he currently oversees the operations of Linmac.

Drew is a graduate of the University of Windsor, University of Western Ontario and earned his Real Property Administrator designation in 2014. Also in 2014, Drew won the William Crossen Award for Outstanding Young Professional.

Management & Staff

Angela Turpin

Chief Operating Officer

Angie joined the Linmac team in January 2023, and is excited to be a part of a family business with a long-standing reputation for excellence and generosity within the community. Angie graduated from Niagara University, in Lewiston NY in 2004, where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce while playing Division 1 softball for the Purple Eagles. After graduating, and prior to joining Linmac, Angie worked for accounting firms at the national and local level, eventually ending up in Municipal Finance. Angie wrote her CA in the final year that the legacy designation was offered, earning her CPA, CA in 2016 upon fulfilling the professional experience requirements. Angie lives in Baltimore with her husband, Derek, and their 3 children, and enjoys travelling, playing (and watching) sports and spending time with friends and family.

Marla Buttars

Properties Manager

Marla joined the Linmac team in March 2022. Her previous background of landscape maintenance has helped her fall into this position quite nicely. She enjoys many sports including hockey, skiing, volleyball and kayaking. Marla likes to spend time outside with her friends and family. She looks forward to working at Linmac Inc. for a long time.

Andrew Heaslip

Facilities Specialist

Born and raised in Northumberland County. Graduate of Port Hope High School ’02, I’ve been working in the facilities and hospitality business since I was 17. In my spare time I enjoy baseball and golf and getting out to cottage country as often as I can. I look forward to meeting and greeting all the patrons and tenants that come to the Fleming building everyday.
